It was at its height in the 90s, and was gone by 2007, so there aren’t many pictures to compare her to. Heather is a Magic Attic Club doll, which isn’t a very common brand. It knows that Heather is a doll, but could not figure out what kind of doll she is. This also used the pattern of her dress to identify Cécile, but still managed to get it right. Apparently it’s pretty similar to a Wizard of Oz Munchkin costume found on Amazon. I think it got desperate and just searched for her outfit. It had a bit of a struggle trying to figure out Marie Grace. The app figured out that this is either Rebecca, Lea, or a Truly Me. I think that’s the image used for any Truly Me, if the app isn’t sure which one exactly. That’s a very broad although not inaccurate guess. Interesting! Wrong brand, but it was able to figure out that that Léonie is, indeed, a doll. It was able to tell that Kira is an American Girl doll, but couldn’t quite pinpoint the right one. ![]() Next is Kira from another recent catalog. Nicely done! The app figured out that it’s a Truly Me doll. I pointed my phone at the picture, let the app look at it for a second, and hit the search button. I got some very interesting results.īehind the cut, I have a few examples of dolls that were successfully or unsuccessfully identified by the app.įirst I tried an image of the new Truly Me Street Chic dolls, using a current catalog. It’s not perfect for figuring out exactly which doll it’s looking at, but a lot of the time it comes really close! I pointed it at a few from my collection, both AG brand and non-AG, and some American Girl catalog images. ![]() It can also scan QR codes, search for product prices, determine the breed of a dog, and even help you identify the brand of a doll. It’s a pretty useful and sometimes amazing tool to have on my phone. Google Lens is an Android app that uses artificial intelligence to examine visual input and search the web in order to identify what is put in front of it.
